Heavenly indeed.......make this your fist Piamenta download....
The first Heavenly Jams Band show of a two night run at a small NYC club, called the Ace Of Clubs, and its a hot one.
HJB presents broad spectrums of musical improvisation and exploration, pulling it's inspirations from a very diverse group musical genres. The band's New York performances have relied heavily on the Oriental Hebrew and Arabic, classic rock, and blues influences of the loose collective of very talented musicians who have taken part.
The band this night features Yosi Piamenta, Yonrico Scott, Tal Wilkenfeld, Seth Yacavone, and Yehuda Piamenta..........
set 1 Track 1
Mitzvah: Perhaps Piamenta's signature song. Incorporates Yosi's Judeo-Arab, and classic rock influences. The stretched out intro was fantatsic and had some real Pink Floydish qualities to it. Yehuda Piamenta, Yosi's 16 year old guitar prodigy takes the first of a number of solos in this one.
set 1 tracks 4-6
Kol Hamesameach Medley: Great tune, usually reserved Jewish wedding celebrations. Yosi thought the transiton between the two portions of the medley would be a great place for Yonrico to cut loose. Fantastic drum solo...dig it!
Tzippi: On comes Seth Yacovone, and the party really get's going. Yehuda Piamenta's frenetic opening guitar solo is followed by some very spirited Yacovone riffage, classic Yosi, and the amazing Tal Wilkenfeld on bass.
Stormy Monday: Yosi loves the blues, and this was his first attempt at playing this blues classic at an HJB show. Some great playing in this one with Seth really setting the tone. Man Yacovone can play.
Red House: Three prong assault with blistering solos from Yehuda, Seth, and Yosi. Awesome stuff.
This ones a keeper folks....enjoy!

I had the pleasure of singing Little Wing with the band and it was a great experience! Tal did an incredible bass solo during the song and you really had to be there to appreciate the raw talent oozing out of the entire band!... It's SCARY just thinking about how much better Yossi's son Yehudah will be in the coming years, he's already developed that beautiful Piamenta style! just a matter of time until he develops to his own level... Keep it up guys!
